FOLKLORE AND CULTURAL ASSOCIATION OF INOIS "TO KRASOCHORI"
The Folklore Cultural Association of Inoi "To Krasochori" was founded in 1991 and all its members live in Inoi’s Settlement of the Municipality of Nea Orestiada, Evros Prefecture. The settlement of Inoi is the new homeland of the Gagavouz refugees from Krasochori in Eastern Thrace.
The Association's activities are diverse as it offers informative and entertaining work to its members, contributes to solving problems faced by the local community, but at the same time it works to protect and spread the cultural heritage of our ancestors.
In this context, it is active in the promotion of our rich cultural heritage and everything related to the values, customs and musical tradition of the Gagavouz, it participates in traditional dance festivals and generally promotes our popular tradition.
It has been established on the occasion of the celebration of the Holy Chapel of Agios Fanourios to organize the multi-thematic Festival "Fanouria" at the end of August every year, the revival of the Camel Custom - "Deve Giunio" (The day of the Camel) on the second day of Christmas during the Twelve Days and many other cultural activities dedicated to the unforgettable homeland of the Gagavouz "To Krasochori". Also, the village celebrates during the feast of the Holy Church of Agios Dimitrios, Inoi.
The Association, trying to achieve its goals, mobilizes all residents to work for the well-being and culture of the local community, the protection and promotion of the natural environment as well as the rich folklore. In this effort, he calls on all those who embrace the same visions to become helpers and partners in this effort, so that we can ensure a better future for the new generations.
