The multi-thematic Festival "Fanouria Festival" in Inoi Nea Orestiada is an institution of the Folklore Cultural Association of Inoi "To Krasochori", it takes place at the end of the month of August, in honor of the celebration of Agios Fanourios where the Holy Chapel of the Saint in the neighborhood of Inoi Nea Orestiada celebrates.
The Festival is an event where in recent years Cultural Associations from all over Greece have participated mainly with their dance groups but also the participation of visitors especially from the wider area of Evros and Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. It has become a permanent institution, characterized as the meeting point of people of all ages with different interests and culture, with the aim of participating in cultural and artistic actions of various subjects with their parallel coexistence and interaction.
The cultural events that take place, draw up a five-day program of artistic interest approaching sections of music, shadow theater, traditional dance and visual projection with remarkable presentations and the participation of renowned artists from all over Greece and especially the local community.
The multi-thematic Festival takes place in the settlement of Inoi Nea Orestiada and in the rural area "Old Inoi", a location that was abandoned by the inhabitants of the area due to the extensive floods in the previous decades, composing and outlining in this way the emergence of a point with a special symbolic and sentimental value for local residents.
